ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.- On Tuesday, May 22, Rochester College Head Basketball coach Klint Pleasant announced the signing of Rochester High School senior Paris Pereira.
Pereira played his high school basketball under the guidance of Falcon's head coach John Pleasant. He led RHS to back-to-back OAA Conference Titles and was a two-time OAA First Team All Conference selection.
In his senior season, Pereira led Rochester High School in a historic season ending in a 20-2 record including a 20 game winning streak after dropping their first game of the season. In his senior season, Pereira averaged 19.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 2 steals per game.
Coach Pleasant on Paris:
"We have watched Paris play for 3 years and are delighted that he is joining our program. He had multiple options and we feel fortunate to get him. Paris is a proven winner and has had a remarkable high school career. We believe he has an extremely high basketball I.Q. and really understands the point guard position. He was a part of some of the most successful seasons in the history of Rochester High School basketball and played a huge role in that success. He has been very well coached and he will come into our program with a great understanding of what we want to accomplish. Paris is very good with the ball, he sees the floor, and he is a very good shooter. But, most importantly, he is unselfish and understands how to distribute the ball. I look forward to watching him grow as a person and player in our program."
