ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.- On Wednesday, August 1, Rochester College Head Baseball Coach Jordan Ackerman announced the signing of Daniel Clouse.
Clouse graduated from L'Anse Creuse North High School and played baseball for the Crusaders. Clouse enjoyed a very decorated senior year earning several honors. Under Head Coach Jeff Dropps, Clouse was named First Team All-Macomb Area Conference-White, All-District, All-Region, and Second Team All-State. He was also selected as the Macomb Area Conference-White Most Valuable Player.
After his senior season, Clouse was one of the very few players selected to compete in the Michigan High School East/West All-Star Game played at Comerica Park and the Michigan High School Southeastern All-Star Game where he earned Most Valuable Player honors for his stellar performance. Clouse competes for the Grosse Pointe Redbirds in the summer season.
Coach Ackerman on Clouse:
"Dan is a big-time player that put up some huge numbers in his senior year. I had the opportunity to see Dan play all summer and he has one of the best bats I have seen out of a high school player. He can hit for power and he can also surprise you by throwing down a bunt. He is versatile defensively as well playing catcher, pitcher, and third base. I am very confident in his abilities on the field and in the classroom. I will not be surprised if Dan finds himself in the line-up this Spring, but he will absolutely have to work hard to get there."
