ANN ARBOR, MI- The Rochester College women's soccer team (3-1) added another victory to their season total yesterday (September 1st) by beating Concordia University (0-3) 4-3 in overtime. 

Freshman Jessica Fill (Flint, MI/Faithway Christian) fired a successful shot at the 14:20 mark assisted by junior Jessica Penny (St. Clair Shores, MI/Lakeview) in the first half to put the Warriors ahead 1-0. The Cardinals came out in the second half and scored two goals to take the lead. Penny answered back for the Warriors with goal at the 85:00 mark. 

Tied at two goals apiece and less than one minute remaining in the contest, both teams battled to stay alive. The Warriors received a goal from freshman Emily Guirey (Berkley, MI/Royal Oak Shrine) with 45 ticks left on the clock. The Cardinals answered the call with six seconds on the clock to force an overtime.

In overtime, the Warriors capitalized on a penalty kick by senior Heidi Schewe (Madison Heights, MI/Summit) to notch the victory. 

As a team the Warriors accounted for 20 shots on goal. Freshman Miranda Viaene (Romeo, MI/Summit) held her own in net by saving 11 shots in her 100 minutes of play. 

The Warriors look to get their fourth win of the season as they take on Holy Cross College at Concordia University tomorrow at 12:00.
