DEFIANCE, OHIO- Things fell together for the Rochester College men's golf team at the Defiance College Invitational. Playing on a course that the Warriors struggled with in the past, the Warriors finished two golfers in the top 10.

The Warriors finished the match with a 316 tieing them for 3rd place.

The Warriors were led by sophomore Ryan Kapanowski (Shelby Twp., MI/Lutheran North) who finished tied for second with a 75 and senior Gary Turner (Auburn Hills, MI/Avondale) finishing tied for 6th with a 76.

Coach Bissett was able to see good things out of sophomore Kevin Geisler (Utica, MI/Lutheran North) and freshman Chaz Bowles (Davisburg, MI/Holly) as they shot as individuals. Geisler finished with a 78 while Bowles finished with an 81.

"I am pretty proud of what we were able to do today. This is a course that has given us lots of trouble in the past and this is the best we have played here in 5 years. Even though we tied for 3rd, we were only a few shots behind the winner. That tells me we are making good progress and are headed in the right direction," said head coach Clayton Bissett
