ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.- The Rochester College men's basketball team (9-6) dropped their fifth straight to NCAA Division I Oakland University (7-4) tonight at the Athletics Center O'rena.

The Warriors jumped off to an early 11-3 lead before Grizzlies head coach Greg Kampe called a timeout.

Senior Ricky Doran won the opening tip and dished it off to junior Dramell Hogan (Detroit, MI/Walled Lake Western) who put in the easy layup. On the Warrior's next possession, junior Brad Norman (Bay City, MI/Delta CC) drained a deep three-pointer.

The Grizzlies answered back immediately following the timeout when Reggie Hamilton connected on a three pointer.

The Warrior shooters remained hot as Norman knocked down two key three pointers. The Grizzlies chipped away led by Hamilton and pulled with in one at the 11:55 mark and took the lead on a Warrior turnover thereafter.

The contest was a back and forth affair for nearly six minutes until the Grizzlies took advantage of Warrior fouls and miscues to take a five point lead with 5:31 to play in the half.

The Warriors battled for the remainder of the first half and went into the locker room down 41-37.

In the first half, Hogan took charge and led the Warriors in the scoring column with 12 points. Norman added 11. The Warriors shot 44.8% in the first half to the Grizzlies 48.4%.

The second half opened up with a Grizzlies turnover when Corey Petros could not handle the Warrior pressure. Hogan was fouled on the fast break and connected on two free throws to put the score at 41-39.

The Warriors would pull within two at the 14:00 mark on a Hogan two point basket. The Grizzlies took over with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the contest when Laval Lucas-Perry dropped a three pointer to put the Grizzlies ahead by nine (54-45).

The Grizzlies went on to win by a final score of 77-62.

The Warriors were led by Hogan who scored 25 points along with his 10 rebounds. Norman scored 19 points on the evening and was 5-6 from beyond the three point arc.

The Warriors shot 41.5% on the evening to the Grizzlies 44.4%. The Warriors had 21 turnovers to the Grizzlies 13.

The Warriors travel to Austin Peay on Saturday to take on the 2-9 Governors.
