
Rochester Hills, Mich.- The Warriors took on rival Marygrove College tonight, Jan. 18, at Rochester High School. Rochester College got their 16th win of the season after the dominating 62-44 victory.
The Warriors were led by Dramell Hogan's (Detroit, MI./Walled Lake Western) 22 points and 8 rebounds. Senior Rick Doran (Clinton Twp., MI./Chippewa Valley) was a force down low with his fifth double double on the season, putting up 12 points and 10 boards. Sean Mattia (Sterling Heights, MI./Sterling Heights) added 12 points of his own, along with 10 points from Brad Norman (Bay City, MI./Delta CC).
Marygrove College was led by guard Daryll Dixon's 12 points. Chris Sinagoga helped the Mustang cause with 9 points. Kevin Dunaj and Vaughn Bobbitt led the team in rebounds with 7 a piece.
Rochester High School was rocking for the home rivalry. Rochester College got off to a quick lead, and never let up. The threes were falling as Mattia and Stephan Henning (Beloit, WI./ Rochester) opened the scoring up from beyond the arc. The Warriors led 33-23 at half, and opened up a 22 point lead in the second half. After holding Hogan to only one field goal in the first half, the Mustangs had no answer in the second, giving up 14 to him.
The Warriors travel to Kuyper College next, Jan. 21. Tip-off is set for 3PM. Rochester College moves to 16-6 on the season, and remain undefeated at home.
