ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH.- Rochester College signs Emily Hale to play basketball in  the 2012-2013 season.  

Hale comes to Rochester College from Sandusky High School in Sandusky, MI. She was a three-sport, four-year varsity athlete in basketball, tennis, and track. While a Redskin of Sandusky, Hale was apart of both the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 League Championship basketball teams, and a part of the 2008-2009, 2010-2011, and 2011-1012 District Championship teams. She had a very good high school career, highlighted by being honored as First-Team All-Conference, First-Team All-Thumb, and Honorable Mention All-State. In 2012, Hale was awarded First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Thumb. In her senor season, Hale averaged 11.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game, and recorded 87 steals. Along with a successful basketball career, Hale was First-Team All-Conference in track for shot put.

Hale was a member of the National Honor society, and honored to the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Academic All-State Team.

"We are glad that Emily chose Rochester College to continue her basketball career and further her academics.  She comes from a solid high school program under Coach DeMott at Sandusky that had a good run this past season," Said Head Coach Eric Sims. "Emily is a very strong player who we think will be a major contributor over the next four years.  She is a good scorer inside and has the ball handling and shooting ability to play on the perimeter also.  She has the chance to be a special college player at RC."
