ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.-- After dropping a game on Friday January 28th to Indiana University Northwest, the Rochester College women's basketball team bounced back with an 87-53 commanding win over the Lakers of Silver Lake College on Saturday.
Junior forward, Bethany McCord (Warren, Mich./Saginaw Valley State University) was unstoppable for the Lady Warriors with 18 points, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds. Junior Maddy Valko (Marysville, Mich./St. Clair County Community College) played a big role in the win with 14 points, while senior Keearra Brown (Chesterfield, Mich./L'Anse Creuse North HS) added 11 points for RC off the bench. Also off the bench, junior Casey Bowdell (Allen Park, Mich./Allen Park HS) ended her night leading the Warriors with 13 rebounds.
Rochester College shot 47.3% from the field as Silver Lake College shot 29% due to the tight defense from the Lady Warriors.
The Lady Warriors out rebounded Lakers 48-47.
The Warriors are now 8-14 on the season and will be in action next on Friday, February 3rd when they travel to Berea College for the Berea College Tournament.
