ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.-- Rochester College Head Basketball Coach Klint Pleasant released the 2017-18 Men's Basketball schedule on July 20th, which includes RC's first season as a Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference member and first full season in the new Garth Pleasant Arena which means their first season of true "home" games.

The Warriors will kick off its season opener and first homecoming contest with non-conference foe Redeemer University, an annual home opening opponent for the Warriors. RC will continue a string of stingy non-conference opponents with a trio of Crossroads League opponents starting with a home match up versus Spring Arbor University before hitting the road against the University of Saint Francis (IN) and returning home for a matchup with Grace College (IN), the Warriors lone regular season loss a year ago. Spring Arbor comes off a strong season that saw action in the NAIA Top 25 (RV) while USF is a proven perennial powerhouse that advanced to the NAIA National Tournament's Sweet Sixteen last season.

The Warriors non-conference slate will continue to be challenging as RC will break away from WHAC competition during Christmas break to square off with GLIAC (NCAA II) foe's Saginaw Valley State University and Grand Valley State University along with MAC (NCAA I) member, Eastern Michigan University. Pleasant's group will jump right back into WHAC play against Madonna University and Cornerstone University just after the New Year and then move down the stretch in WHAC play throughout January and February.

"We are excited for our first year of WHAC play and that alone gives us an incredibly difficult and challenging schedule.  Added to that is a non-conference slate that includes two top GLIAC NCAA II teams and three games against the Crossroads League, one being a team that spent time in the top five of the NAIA poll last season.  It will be without a doubt our toughest schedule yet" Coach Pleasant added.
