ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.— In the last two weeks, the Rochester College men's basketball program has announced two former post players signing professional contracts on the other side of the pond. First, it was Jeroen de Baat heading to Holland. Now, it's Jaylen Larry's turn to continue his career professionally after he recently signed a contract to play in Spain for the 17-18 season.

Baloncesto Deportivo will welcome their first American player in club history when Larry  lands in Malaga, Spain.

Larry arrived at Rochester after two seasons of junior college basketball and a redshirt year at Ashford University. After a sluggish junior year with the Warriors, Larry exploded into a senior season that saw him average 15.4 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game. More impressive than his numbers was the efficiency with which he scored. Larry's ranked #6 overall in the NAIA for field goal percentage as he made 65.8% of his field goal attempts. Larry also ranked #16 in the NAIA for blocks per game.

"I am incredibly proud of Jaylen for achieving this personal goal. He worked hard for the opportunity to play professional basketball" Rochester College men's head basketball coach Klint Pleasant stated. "I believe he will thrive and go on to be a major contributor for his team. I'm also happy for our entire program as this is a feather in its hat as well."
