ROCHESTER, MI- On Tuesday, April 26, Rochester College Head Basketball Coach Klint Pleasant announced the signing of Oxford High School senior Chris Calvin.
Calvin is a three-year letter winner under Oxford Head Coach Paul Marfia. During his senior season, Calvin averaged 7.6 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Coach Pleasant on Calvin:
"Chris is another guy that I have been recruiting all year. He comes from a solid high school program and was well coached and mentored by Paul Marfia, the head coach at Oxford High School. He has consistently impressed me on many levels. He is incredibly mature for his age and has performed well academically. He is extremely responsible and has responded quickly to everything I have asked from him. In addition, he is hungry and I believe his best basketball is ahead of him. Chris is very strong and has a great wingspan. He plays fearlessly, is not afraid to mix it up, and has the ability to alter and block shots. He also has the ability to dominate both the offensive and defensive glass. He has tremendous upside and I have high expectations for him. I'm looking forward to having him in our program and coaching him."
