ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.--On Wednesday, December 10th Rochester College head men's golf coach Clayton Bissett announced the signing of Nicklas Grifhorst.
Grifhorst inks with the Warriors after prepping at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Mich. Starring on the golf course and tennis courts Grifhorst won eight varsity letter during his high school career.
On the golf course Grifhorst completed an outstanding senior season in which he helped lead the Hawkeyes to conference and district championships. His senior season included a top 10 finish at the Yankee Springs Golf Course and also a personal best score of 38 at Diamond Springs Golf Course.
On the tennis court Grifhorst helped the Hawkeyes reach the Michigan High School regional tournament and also qualified for the state tournament as an individual.
Coach Bissett on Nicklas:
"I am really excited about signing Nick. He comes from a solid high school program and has great backing at home. He is everything we want in a recruit. He is a good golfer who has room to improve and the desire to do so, is great in the classroom, and is a great person. I feel really good about starting off this year's recruiting class with his signing. I'm excited to get to work with him for the next several years," said Coach Bissett.
